Siberian ginseng, or eleutherococcus, is an amazing herb which is helpful to the Lyme disease sufferer in more ways than one.
First, it increases one's capacity to withstand adverse conditions, as it increases stamina and mental alertness, at the same time that it reduces depression and mood swings.
Fatigued adrenals crave ginseng. It acts as a tonic to them, rejuvenating and revitalizing them, which has positive effects for the rest of the body.
I've taken half a dozen adrenal supplements, including glandular formulas, and none of them pumped up my staggering adrenals as much as Herb Pharm's 2:1 formula of Siberian Ginseng.
Further, the immune system gets a helping hand from ginseng, as this herb increases its production of natural killer and T-lymphocyte cells.
It isn't a herb to take continuously, however. Breaks must be given every couple of months, for a few weeks at a time, and especially for stronger formulations.
However, if you suffer from chronic fatigue, hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, mood swings and/or depression, lack of stamina, low immune function, and brain fog (yeah, I know, don't we all?) this herb is worth trying.
